The girls were happy to be playing at home for only the third time this season. They created a lot of scoring chances in the first half , but for the second night in a row the score was 0-0 at halftime.
The girls got the game opening goal less than 4 minutes into the first half when center midfielder Mia Barreda passed the ball out to right winger Julie Kohler, who dribbled past the Colonels left back and crossed the ball into the 6 yard box. Striker Caity Ashley made the attacking run into the 6 yard box and volleyed the ball past the Colonels goalkeeper. The girls sealed the win with just over 2 minutes remaining when center midfielder Natalie Bennett again found Julie out on the right flank. Julie deftly slotted a pass into the 6 yard box to striker Emelie Bouchere who drove the ball past the Colonels goalkeeper giving the girls a 2-0 win tor the second night in a row.
