Girls Win Important Conference Match vs. King George

The girls won an important conference match against King George to get the third seed going into the conference playoffs.  They got an early lead when Megan Enos passed the ball out to the right to winger Kamryn Dietrich whose shot passed under the fingertips of the Foxes goalkeeper.  The game remained deadlocked until 2:31 into the second half when Mia Barreda threaded a through ball to Megan Enos who blasted a strike into the back of the net to give the girls a 2-0 lead.  Exactly one minute later left winger Megan Deihl crossed a ball into the middle and forward Cassidy Wagoner volleyed the ball in for a 3-0 lead.  The foxes where then awarded a penalty kick, which they converted to close the lead to 3-1.  The girls responded well to the setback, with center midfielder Megan Dietrich hitting a terrific strike from 30 yards out to give the girls a 4-1 advantage.  With just over 5 minutest left in the match forward Megan Enos won the ball, dribbled into the right side of the of the 18 yard box, and put in a shot that was deflected by the Foxes goalkeeper but settled into the left side of the net to give the girls a vital 5-1 conference win.
